I tend to be very philosophical and iconoclastic. There are very few issues that I don’t have a strong (and nonconformist) opinion on. Ironically, however, I don’t like to argue (even though I often end up in arguments). I’d so much rather be around someone like-minded. Unfortunately, like-minded people are hard to find when you’re a secular libertarian. I work full-time, of course, but I’m too artistic to be career-orientated. I may go back to school for my bachelor’s, but I’d much rather pursue a career in writing. I do own my own home and that takes up no small amount of my time. I’m usually a very quite, introspective person. I try to stay away from large, rowdy groups of people; I prefer small, intimate gatherings. I value solitude almost as much as I value friendship; sometimes I need to be alone, even if it’s just to do some thinking. I love good conversation, especially when there’s common intellectual ground. I’m very interested in philosophy, politics, science, history, and economics. I’ve read many books on these topics and I would love to discuss what I’ve read with a like-minded person. Not incidentally, I also enjoy writing; my word processor, in fact, is my best friend. I like to go out to restaurants, go for walks in the park, take in a good film, or go shopping at the bookstore. Politically, I’m a libertarian and I occasionally meet with other members of the Libertarian Party to learn more about the issues and exchange ideas. I enjoy getting together with friends on occasion to play cards, cookout, or just enjoy a beverage. Athletically, I lift weights regularly and sometimes go jogging. I try to stay in decent shape. I also like to play tennis. I’m looking for a woman who is honest and trustworthy, tough and independent. She should be very rational, somewhat iconoclastic, and at least a little bit athletic. She should also have a sense of humor and the ability to be happy.
