I joined this site seeking like minds. Atheists, let alone compassionate atheists, are a bit sparse on the ground here in Vermont. I'm generally willing to travel up to two hours one-way in a car to meet with people of like mind. The New York border isn't that far away.

I do not have a religion, and am not "spiritual". I don't believe in "spirit". I could best be described as an atheist, skeptic, and scientific humanist.

On the political spectrum I generally test out as socialist. I'd prefer to meet someone who shares not only my philosophical beliefs, but also my political beliefs.
