I am atheist, open and upfront with my beliefs. I don't get the chance to chat with others of like beliefs, so I joined this site to be able to express my beliefs without persecution, ridicule or dismissal. Nice (but ironic) guy

I am atheistic to the point of being anti-theistic. I love philosophy, literature and art, and am very left-wing politically. My favorite thinkers are Marx, Nietzsche amd Spinoza, because they challenged the boundaries of our thinking more than any others. I am deeply worried about the theocratic bent our nation is on as it turns away from the values of the enlightenment.
