Dating an evangelist?

Since people's religious views are not always known right away, it can lead to awkward dating situations. If you've ever found yourself dating someone with STRONG religious beliefs, please share what happened.

I can't say I've ever dated someone and found out they were extremely religious. I have had many conversations with people who were religious and left the room when they discovered my atheism.

The funniest thing happened when I was teenager and dating a young Roman Catholic woman. Word had gone through her family about my atheism. One evening her aunt, a nun, was over and were playing a board game. it was reported to me later that after I left she said:
"But he has such a kind face."

I guess I was supposed to be pure evil.

.I met a wonderful girl, and then found out she was a fundy. It didn't really bother me, but apparently our religious differences really bothered her, and it affected everything in our relationship to some extent. Finally, all the problems that came from those tensions tore us apart. It sucked.
