1 Ladysafflower's Blog yaaaay!!!
Posted by Ladysafflower on 2008-02-07 17:57:27.

I'm very pleased that my best friend got into the animation school she's been wanting to go to for 7 years. She really deserves it, after all the crap she's been through...Here's hoping her deadbeat numbf*ck boyfriend doesn't mess this up for her. School is getting tiring, and I think my Criminal Justice teacher believes me to be a junkie of some sort, since for the past few days I've come to class incredibly sleepy and can barely stay awake. What fun. At least I get tomorrow off, which means... No comments

2 Ladysafflower's Blog In which I complain about my Family Law class and my lack of a date
Posted by Ladysafflower on 2008-02-04 11:06:08.

-.- I really don't like doing this separation agreement for Family Law. It's absolutely bloody depressing, but I have to do it so I don't fail. Fail is bad, k? Valentine's Day is coming up. Another year I spend alone, eating chocolate and watching The Producers or one of my other favourite movies while my sister goes off with her fiance and my mother is so proud of her good Christian girl. bleh. Oh well. I still have some good books to read, friends to bother, and Richard Dawkins documentaries... No comments

3 Bejayswimmer's Blog Another online blog...phew.
Posted by Bejayswimmer on 2008-01-07 23:24:12.

Wow, another blog? I actually just started on livejournal.com so now i have even MORE to write. I had a close friend of mine tell me that there are no transitional fossils a few weeks ago...and i haven't been able to get that comment out of my mind. I have been emerged in books about fossils, and dating methods that his comment becomes more and more absurd as the days pass by. My current book is in textbook form, its called Human Origins: The Fossil Record. The descriptions are incredible, and... No comments

4 Lordrot's Blog Earth Day 2006 Inspiration - A Time of Rebirth
Posted by Lordrot on 2008-01-05 17:37:41.

A Time of Rebirth and Healing the Earth The long winter is behind, a springtime of rebirth is before. The long dark of death and decay is behind. The rape of the land and of peoples is shown in the increase of the light. The light casts long shadows over the land where creatures of a dark world huddle and cower, for the shortening shadows will soon catch them in the light. Now the new growth appears, animals bear their young. The season of rebirth is upon us. The seed so patiently waiting in... No comments

Another Way The Earth has been here 4,500 million years. The first oceans with the first life formed 4,000 million years ago. Plants have been making oxygen for 3,000 million years. Proterozoa have been here 1,800 million years. Multi-cellular life has been here for 1,000 million years. Fish have been here 500 million years. Amphibians first walked on land, grazing fern forests 325 million years ago. Bugs have been here 300 million years. Reptiles ruled the Earth 250 million years... No comments

6 Lordrot's Blog Conscious Mutulism - A Perfect Love?
Posted by Lordrot on 2008-01-05 15:40:50.

Conscious Mutualism Consciousness is an awareness of self and environment that social creatures such as ourselves exhibit. It has evolved over time along with our nervous system and brain. It is one of our most recently acquired characteristics. Mutualism is that relationship between different creatures that share life resources to mutual benefit. These are commonly different species living in the same physical space. The evolution of relationships between species and within species is as complex... One comment

7 Caw3381's Blog Evolution Rant & Atheism
Posted by Caw3381 on 2007-08-10 22:01:13.

Here’s a thought I’d like to throw out to anyone reading this, and then I’ll rant about a topic near and dear to me. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.   When I got back home last month for my one week vacation, I went out to a local bar with my family (Randy’s Up the River in Olean, NY). I had a great time seeing family members I hadn’t seen since Christmas, and I also got to meet my uncle’s new girlfriend. She was a nice enough person, had a refreshing candor that I haven’t seen... 8 Caw3381's Blog Martyrism at McDonalds
Posted by Caw3381 on 2007-08-10 21:57:39.

I’ve got a question for you, prefaced by a completely mundane story: have you ever been a martyr for no reason other than to be a martyr?   I’ll set this up by reminiscing on an event that happened to me a few days ago. I was walking into my local McDonalds for some lunch. As expected, the place was embarrassingly packed, almost to the point of discouraging patronage. People were gathered around a few registers in a clusterf*ck, into which I stepped. By luck, I happened to get onto the line... One comment
